This is an interesting little hybrid of Eastern European and Brazilian. In the prepped food section you can find anything from Brazilian coxhinas to cabbage rolls.
Mostly European stuff in the deli case, Brazilian stuff in the freezer, and a mixture lining the walls.
I came out buying 10% cottage cheese, Ukrainian sausage, guarana concentrate and some amazing Dadu cheesecake ice cream bars from Lithuania.
What a haul! -

The owner makes me feel like I'm family and all I wanted was 2 cabbage rolls! They clearly make everything from scratch and it makes me feel like I've gotten a home cooked meal in a Styrofoam container.
As soon as I got home I dug into this meaty parcel filled with so much mince meat that I felt that there wasn't enough sauce for the second roll.
This tiny little deli carries so much exotic European stuff that there isn't a lot of seating but definitely worth the peek if you want cold cuts, pickles, cheese etc. -

Small family run European cafe cum grocery store on Burrard st just off Davie. The cafe is very reasonable and you get a good bang for your buck. The sandwiches are cheap and the portions are generous. I like the breakfast sandwiches, The Ukrainian burger and the sausage sandwich. The couple who run this place are very friendly. The also have a wide selection of sausages, cold cuts & Cheese. They are open from 8am to 6pm on weekdays and they close at 5pm on weekends.
Food : Good

Actually, I have a question: do you guys have Brazilian "Cuscuz"/ Flocos de Milho? It is a typical Northeastern food from Brazil.
Looks like a Corn Flour, similar to Couscous
If someone see this product there, can you please let me know. I will be in Vancouver this Sunday. Thank you!! -

Came here to pick up some items for a meat and cheese board. I bought the prosciutto (150mg), German salami (150mg), brie (block), smoked gouda (100mg), a box of red olives from Italy, a box of pickled red vegetables (100mg only $1.50), and a jar of artichoke hearts - all for $38, not bad at all. Everything was delicious and made for the perfect meat and cheese board. Reasonably priced and a great selection of cured meats (not the biggest selection of cheeses though.)
